An enormously lively, fragrant, and still slightly reductive Chardonnay, reminiscent of a bright orchard, very clear and pure. Dense, powerful, and crystal clear on the palate, with abundant citrus notes and an almost vibrant acidity. Mineral backbone. A very strong wine with excellent length and a long life.

Dinner at D Cuisine (Chicago, IL) : Very nice stuff. Nowhere as 2018 as I would expect, especially from the Mâcon. Crisp acidity balances out a full, rounded palate, with just a modest hint of reduction on the nose. Steely and clean. A new producer for me, but one that definitely suits my palate.

Classical white burg, significantly richer and more rounded than his Macon bottlings. Acidity kept in check by ripeness of fruit and oak influence. Prefer this over his Macons. Only thing lacking is the finish but this will certainly improve with age. Best bottle I’ve had from Fabien Duperray thus far.
