I was worried when the cork was squishy, but Still going strong! A good lesson to not smell the cork!

Way over the hill and past its prime. Not spoiled or corked, however. The fruit is lifeless, almost non-existent. On the other hand, the tannins are soft, almost non-existent, and the pleasurable experience is that of drinking an old, venerable wine whose personality has faded. Mixed with a little younger, fruitier wine, it was a nice blend.
