Chateau Recougne, Bordeaux Superieur

Medium, clear ruby with surprising colour retention and depth. Some obvious bricking but nothing too severe at all. Hints of purple suggesting higher percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Carmenere due to the warm vintage. Nose was pronounced with a lot of candied fruit. Cassis, cotton candy, cherry cola. Magnum. Chocolate, leather, mature dark fruit aromas. Concentrated older, earthier flavors with just modest fruit. Moderate length, very elegant.
