offers fresh scents of graphite, cedar and black licorice, starts off dry but picks up some nice depth with air, brooding and seductive, suave, dark flavors of black cherry, raspberry, tobacco and anise, balanced acid and tannin, quite complex and appealing, a gem of a bargain, drinking well now with good upside for aging short term

Deep dark red. Intense aromatic fruit nose. Cassis, plums, white pepper spice, dried herb, oak, light touch of vanilla. Medium bodied. Drinking well now.

Medium body, vibrant fruit, decent structure, medium finish.

Luxurious and sexy, the wine is loaded with licorice, juicy plums and dark chocolate with an expressive, round finish. This should be quite tasty on release. The wine was made from a blend of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon – despite the estate losing 40% of the yield to frost.
