Slightly oxidative in an annoying way but not so much so as to be unenjoyable. Good qpr I suppose.

Lots of focus on the palate and drive on the palate after some initial frothiness. Starts off with just a subtle spice note before shifting to brioche a little powdered sugar on pastry dough, lemon bar, some green apple. This is really good and to me, has some charm and is a strong value at under $50 — I think it punches above its weight.

Organic and extra brut at 3.87g/l dosage. 11 years on the lees. Heavily scented with notes of almond croissant, sliced apples, lemon pith, carambola, brioche, chalk and delicate white flowers. The palate shows focused acidity and a fine yet expansive bubble structure. Still showing a youthful edge and a very well put together Grand Cru at a great price. Very tart and high acid. Seemed more mineral driven than fruit. Got a bit better as it opened up, but seemed a bit out of balance. Was better with food.
