This is a hearty and inviting Beaujolais Cru that seemed to improve after the first day. It takes on the flavor of dark berries--blueberries and blackberries--in a juicy liquid. I like it but not as much as some other vintages of the same wine.

First bottle of this case was oxidized, second bottle was corked, so I went straight back in to open another bottle tonight... Finally, this one is perfect. The color is quite dark for a Beaujolais, and the wine is quite thick. My last one. Cork wad pretty decent, slightly infiltrated. Good acid still, bright, cherry, but not heavy, very nice. Really active in the mouth. Color is that of translucent ruby but a dirty ruby. fruit still decent, very cherry and tart. Had with bbq chicken and although it was okay, not the best pairing with this food. Beaujolais with some bottle age - totally delicious. Tannins are muted if almost gone. Very very dry. Light but not too light. Delicious, ripe, almost roasted or sun baked red raspberries, with orange peel. I like it a lot. Very interesting and totally delicious bottle. Would go back to this all day long and not hesitate to give similar bottle age to other Beaujolais to see how they develop.

At peak. PNP and paired with grilled Arctic Char - Light red color with strong gradient from rim to center. On nose, strawberry, wet rocks, tart cherry and earth/mushrooms. Palate was more fruit oriented (strawberry, cranberry) with some nice minerality. Medium body, medium acidity, integrated tannins (still there) and medium finish. Enjoyable if in the mood for a lighter bodied wine. Excellent QPR. 90+/-

Bright, crunchy red fruit and dark cola bean. Tastes much younger than its 10 years. This is quite good but not sure it is/was worth cellaring. It was good out of the gate and hasn’t really developed much in the nuances age can bring. Still a buyer of the wine though. An agreeable and versatile table wine.

There was nothing overtly bad with the wine, except that it lacked flavor and was extremely weak. I suspect this is fast past its prime.

Unfortunately, this is still shut down and completely hollow on the palate, but the nose and finish make it enjoyable. Bitters, spices, licorice, and tart rhubarb. Drink after 2020. Technical score: 89. Enjoyment score: 88.

Not specifically faulted, but not good. Weedy, thin, acerbic, underripe, weak. Unpleasant. Poured it out. Damn.

A little less impressed than I was a year ago. Tasting more Gamay-ish and just a little watery, as if some of the must were taken away. It certainly has its place at the table, but not with anything bold that would overshadow it. Fully blind, I would probably guess this as a rose'. Worked fine with a juicy pork tenderloin that was heavy on rosemary. 4+10+15+7= 86

A serious tart, cranberry and granite infused wine, but the tannins are still quite prominent. Perhaps I should have decanted more. This could definitely evolve in the bottle as it was still quite youthful and fresh.
