Lovely stuff. PnP and will save half the bottle to try tomorrow. A gorgeous focused lime and kerosene nose is then followed by an intense lemon sorbet and sherbet palate and a lovely calamansi and red apple sweetness. White flowers also join in the mid to back palate with a whisper of aniseed. The mouthfeel is surprisingly round and generous, given the nose and the acidity provides a mouthwatering framework that keeps everything focused as it glides down. In a …

Riesling Rampage : Orange peel, lemon and slate. Mid-bodied with quite restrained fruit. Light on its feet, with good finesse. Feels like this needs further time.

Would love to compare this with an Alsace Riesling.

Brought this to Asia Grand Restaurant for lunch to celebrate a birthday. We had Peking Duck and dim sum. Light, refreshing with considerable weight and structure. Fresh notes of lemon, tangerine, and kamquat. Lively acidity makes this an ideal wine to pair with Peking Duck and dim sum, cutting through the oil and washing down the food with ease. Delicious!

Nose of citrus, peach, pear, wet stone and petroleum. Taste of crisp citrus, peach, lemon zest, honeydew melon, cream and minerality. Brilliant AU riesling, easily mistaken for a German GG.

A little reductive on the nose at first, this also took time to open up to show very clean and citrus fruits and a hint of chrysanthemum. Very crisp and linear wine with a little sweetness. Excellent concentration and depth for the price point.

Delicious. Very light gold in colour with a hint of green. Nose was of beautiful floral notes, citrus fruits, a bit of vanilla butter and hint of petrol (in a good way). This has calmed down a lot in last 12 months, losing its sharper edges to become a lovely silky smooth lemon and pineapple dominated palate, but with just the right about of acidity and saline/mineral notes to keep it fresh and bring you back for more. Again the …

Silver-gold with green tints. In that twilight zone between youth and semi maturity. Medium intensity nose. Some gun flint (evoking memories of Joe Ely singing, ‘I left my guns in London Town, just smoking in the rain’ - check out his cover of Butch Hancock’ She Finally Spoke Spanish To Me, on Ely’s Letter to Lardero) and sizzled butter touches, pulpy lime and yellow fruits beneath. Subtle. The palate’s the hero. Smooth clean entry, flows fine and long, with a …

Like this one a lot. Maybe the Polish Hill is a bit better. Noticed a stronger kerosene nose which died away with some air and time. Crisp citrus acid and great length. Very good with some freshly steamed mussels.

"Light kero with lemon peel on initial nose. Crisp and packed with lemon citrus. Great with some freshly shucked Coffin Bay oysters. Mineral length and honeysuckle aftertaste coming through.

Drinking nicely now for my tastes. Still very youthful, with the fruit and acid coming into better balance. Sweetish lemon/lime fruits with some chalky/talc notes adding complexity, the acid is zingy and refreshing. I like my Rieslings younger and fresher, and this is all that. Lovely.

A year on from my last note, this is in a good place right now. The acidity feels in the best balance of all the bottles I have had so far. Lovely lemon/lime juicy, still very fresh, nose. Quite round on the palate, with a bit of natural fruit sweetness. Very pleasant drinking now.

Thrilled to see these bottles showing up at retail in the US now. This is firing on all cylinders with a quick decant - really bright, tart lemon and lime fruit with an underpinning of saline and flinty minerality. Some slightly smoky and reductive petrol-like notes on the nose as well, and the whole package is very refreshing and easy to drink with a firm spine of acidity.

Winner. Tart but ripe citrus fruit, light florality, intense stony minerality, and a whiff of smokiness on the nose, and a palate that's really light and racy but packed with flavour. Glad I'm seeing these wines in the US a bit more often now.

Pale yellow/green. Sharp citrus driven nose- plenty of limey notes. Touch of grapefruit as well. Very fresh and clean of course. Really zippy in the mouth. Lemon/lime sherbet and bracing acidity. Tasty now but I suspect this could look better in 3+ years, although I’m not sure it has the drive to make very old bones.

Opened this at Chef Teo's over dinner with my in-laws. Pale straw in colour with a touch of green. Stone fruits with some minerals dominate the nose and palate. The wine is entering a more serious phase as compared the last time I tasted it. Some peaches, pears and fresh fruits in the aftertaste. This wine didn't try hard to be likeable; it is very easy to enjoy and pairs well with the oyster, sashimi and sushi which we had. …

Wine and Spirits Top 100 tasting - 2018 (The Metreon, SF) : Slight reduction. Slight petrol. Slight floral detergent terpenes. High acid. A bit lean but classic Aussie Riesling. 12.5%. Dry.

Very light and fresh, less concentrated than other (older) vintages of this wine I've tried before. Almost water-like. Perhaps just young?

Tastes very different from what I remember trying at the cellar door in Nov 2017. I did not get any lime characteristics but mainly lemon, pear and grapefruit, with a bit of 'wet slate'. A slight bitter lemon pith note on the finish. Good line of acidity, texture and mouthfeel.

Fresh, crisp fruit. Lemon, lime, mineral palate. Great length, finishing with sharp, precise acidity. Normally I prefer a bit more age on my Riesling, but this was excellent.
