The wine itself is still pretty firm and youthful with the fruit half buried, but there’s so much here that it’s still very enjoyable to drink. Its vanilla notes are well integrated with its complex spice notes, and the tannins seem buffered just the right amount. Supposedly younger vines, but maybe no one told them. Have really enjoyed this both times I’ve had it and lots of potential ahead it would seem.

Garnet color, with very expressive nose of roses and raspberries. Medium+ acidity with grippy tannins, but like many 2017 Barolo’s this is already very approachable after a quick decant. Some tar on the palate, then tart cherries, roses and violets - just beautiful if young. Ending is long, with a hint of spice and cedar wood to complement the tart cherries. Excellent already - this should sing in 4-5 years.

Wow....nose of rose petals, good acidity, medium red, flavours of red fruit primarily raspberry dominate with secondary flavours of leather, tobacco. This has a great lingering sweetness . Very accessible early with great aging capability.

Pungent and primary. Aromas of rose, iris, raw cacao, cherry, prune, tobacco, mint, licorice, vague spice and fungal notes... Super fine tannins, very smooth and refined texture, in fact it is quite remarkable how easy this is on the palate, rich inner perfume of flowers and spice. Floral and spicy finish, tannins grip firmly, very long... needs time, though it is not forbidding today.

Tight, in fact a little dense yet with a wonderfully concentrated raspberry touch, dense orange fruit, lovely red flower and deep salt layers. Good full-bodied and powerful wine with a really concentrated fruit image of cherries, balsamic touch and dense spices. Nice acidity is included. Unavailable yet, but here the massive quality concentrated in a bottle. Great Barolo with a big upside.
