This is sensational. Absolutely classic Aussie semillon. Toast and lime doesn't tell the half of it. It cost £7 - the cheapest great wine I've ever had and the greatest cheap wine.

Dark straw colouring lime marmalade, some wackiness and oily note in a good sense. A meer hint of a botrytised note without sweetness in the background. Drinkable from the get go but held on in the fridge for a couple of days mellowing out. Best on day 1 though.

Searing acid, limey fruit, and this great whack of toast. Bracing. Very very exciting. And it only cost £7!

This is extraordinarily good. Razor-like lime fruit, a tight toasty grip. Sensational!

Stone fruits, wet wool, lime zest, butter and plenty of burned rubber. Dry with a high tart acidity, medium body, generous ripe fruit and a medium, rather bitter finish. An interesting style, but this seemed a bit disjointed. Not much fun.

Ljusare gul färg Brödiga toner, syntetisk plast, gröna äpplen, väldigt grönt, en stor del svavel hög syra, intensivt, helt okej längd Lite för enkelspårigt med bara hög syra. Hade behövt något mer att bära upp syran.

Clear, pale intensity, lemon-green color. Youthful nose with medium intensity. Green, unripe fruit, chalk dust, burnt rubber, glue sticks and matchbox. Rather unpleasant nose actually. Bone-dry, tart and bitter on the palate. Lacks harmony and balance. Not fun.

More advanced in colour than all the other bottles. Still good but slightly more sour than normal? Slight spritz.

Consistent with previous bottles, piercing lime, some toast emerging, sharp and long, so vivid

Top notch example of an aged Hunter Sem, rich toasty flavours interspersed with crisp but balanced acidity. Try some!!!

Beautiful rich nose, palate is that of a fully formed Hunter Semillon, great drinking now, but with enough freshness to endure for several more years. This has to be one of the best value wines in the world!!!

Luminous and quite deep lime green color with somewhat developed golden highlights. Ripe, yet not particularly sweet nose with developed aromas of that distinctive Hunter Valley toast along with aromas of reductive matchstick smoke and flint smoke, some ripe lemony citrus fruit tones, light waxy character and a hint of gasoline. The wine is crisp, light-bodied and quite racy on the palate with very acid-driven flavors of ripe citrus fruits, tart green apples, some sweeter lemon curd notes, a little …

Lemon peel, sea-buckthorn, hay, jalapeño, slight nuttiness, gunpowder and yoghurt on the expressive nose. Dry and fairly light bodied though rather intense palatal feel with lean but perfectly adequate citrusy fruit. Toasted nuttiness. Lime zest and jalapeño. Good length. Very good. Nicely evolved and highly drinkable.

Deep and intense gold-hued lime green color. Rich, developed and toasty nose showcasing those typical aromas of aged Hunter Valley Sémillon: toasted bread, exotic spices, some smoke, a little bit of browned butter and hints of sweet yellow fruits. The wine is dry, full-bodied and focused on the palate with rich and intense flavors of panna cotta, browned butter, toasty nuttiness, ripe peach, some toasted bread, a little bit of melted herbal butter and a hint of steely minerality. The …

Deep, intense lime green color with mature yellow highlights. Rich, intense and developed nose with bready toast aromas, browned butter, ripe citrus fruit, non-Riesling petrol nuances, some reductive gunpowder smoke, floral complexity, a little spiciness, hints of yellow stone fruits and a whiff of wax or rubber. Dry, quite full-bodied and crisp with a combination of lovely zip and mature wine calmness. Flavors of ripe citrus and tart lime, green apples, ground green herbs, some peach and a hint of …

Citrus and woody spices on the nose. The light to medium bodied palate continues with the citrus, and adds some faint tropical notes and dry acidity. Medium finish with the same ingredients. Nice, refreshing, not very complex. Despite the general dryness, the fruit is also there, improving the drinkability.

Beautiful nose of orange peel and some spicy/minerally notes. Light to medium bodied, very dry, delivering a bit subdued flavors of lime, citrus and discreet minerality. Lean nice acidity. An obvious matured aspect to it. Interesting and rather refreshing.

NobleRottersSydney - Hunter Valley; 8/13/1999-8/15/1999 (Hunter Valley) : {cork} Mid straw colour. Light lemon/citrus fruit, a bit spritzy, almost seems a touch sweet, soft acid; might have been better with a bit of a chill. Average.
