Lots of grapefruit when chilled, but opens up with more lemon and minerality with a long bright finish. Really shines at a red wine temperature.

Light yellow color. Aromas of limes, lychee and oyster shell. Ripe, nicely integrated fruit in the mouth with very good depth and length and a solid core of acidity. Nicely fresh and clean on the palate. An impressive Albariño and an excellent value.

Pale yellow color. Aromas of pineapple, guava, grapefruit, white flowers and fresh herbs. A myriad of tropical fruit flavors with additional notes of peach, lemon curd and pepper spice. Nice saline/mineral touch on the long and crunchy finish. Mouth watering acidity, bright and fresh. Outstanding value!

Very good wine! Nice mineralty, but a freshness and subtle citrusy note that rounds out the flavor profile nicely. Cheers!

Similar nose to the 2022. Lemon, blood orange and white tea. Round and tongue searing acid. A bit more acid than last vintage. Palate of lemon, chamomile tea, and quince. Moderate length on a sour lemon and iron finish. Not as balanced as 2022 but still a very good wine

Pale straw color with a nice greenish hue. Lacks the clarity of a premium albarino. Promising on the nose with lemon and green apple. Refreshing yet thinner than I’d hoped. Stone fruit appears but the mid-to-late palate disappoints. Definitely missing that almost briny salinity but this is much better value than some of the more “en vogue” whites today

Pair with seafood(Shrimp, Scallops, and Calamari). Mouth was lemon, white pepper, with a minerality/salinity. The wine had nice acidity with a medium-length finish.

4th Saturday Group: non-French European Wines (J&L's) : Double blind. Pale color with notes of white peach and florals. Round and soft, with low acidity and flavors of melon and dried peach. Has a slight tropical note in the finish, which had me guessing Terlano pinot grigio rather than a riesling. Albarino never crossed my mind, so perhaps not the best representation of the variety. Well now....another orphan bottle from the cellar. On nose and palate: fresh ginger, citrus and a ghost of barley sugar, with notes of dried tangerine peel, pineapple and roasted almond.....with an aftertaste of sea salt , mineral on a fullish medium body....with just the beginnings of oxidation.....this Albarino is now 6 years old....played well tonight with a deli dinner of Turkey sausage rolls and cold orzo pasta salad. If you have any.....drink soon.

CMS blind tasting Pours a clear pale straw, and shows a hint of gas. HIGH intensity of aromas as soon as it's poured. Ripe guava, pineapple, pear, white flowers, green bell pepper, chalk and wet stone. No real evidence of oak. The palate confirms all of the aromas; but the intensity is dialed back a bit. Dry with a medium body, medium acid, medium alcohol. Call - 1-2 year old Torrontes. Dumb call by me due to the aromatic nose.

$46/bottle 9 Mile West Asheville, lemon and citrus with a lime zest finish, saline to almost chalky acidic mineral finish. Price slightly higher than I wanted but otherwise checks all the boxes for a well made Albariño that is (no surprise) Caribbean food friendly. B+ (89) restaurant bottle purchase.

Lovely albariño! Other notes emphasize lemony, but we just find it well balanced acidity with full fruit flavors that give it body. Paired very well with poached halibut in safron and fennel sauce over rice.

Impulse purch @ Costco 13.0% abv - $15 Served @ 10c/50f w/oven baked Tilapia, Mixed Vegetables, Rice and Caprese Salad. Pale Yellow in the glass. Fragrant nose of white flowers and citrus, carrying over well to the palate. Nice but quite astringent. Tart, lingering finish. I think it would go particularly well with something like shellfish or Oysters.
