Strong tonight. Good complexity and energy, with aged savagnin notes showing. Still has room to go. Excellent with roast chicken.

Light, fun, if a bit simple. The oxidative nose is dominated by aromas of pear with a little hint of nuttiness, and the wine itself has a nice spine of acidity backing everything up. Balanced, but not as complex as what some others are able to achieve with oxidative Savagnin.

Great wine! Huge but controlled oxidization. Cheese, almond, Brazil nut, papaya, sweet cream, pine forest by the ocean. Bone dry and good acidity, yet there's some lushness to the body, and the flavor is anything but austere. Long, mineral finish. Delicious and complex, generous, and easy to love in every way.

Pretty much a dead ringer for an Amontillado sherry in its color, weight, nuttiness and saline finish. I don't know about you, but if I want sherry, I order sherry.

La bouche est très élégante, beaucoup de finesse, rien de trop imposant. Un savagnin tout en subtilité. La finale est longue avec une acidité rafraîchissante. 16/20. Prix : 15 euros.

Very good Savagnin. Superb nose with curry, comte rind and sea water notes. Elegant, oxidative, fresh and balance with more lemon notes on the palate and a nice finish on nutty comte. Delicious !
