Domaine Roger Perrin Châteauneuf-du-Pape Les Galets de la Berthaude

Ripe blackfruit, very subtle oak influence, classic black pepper spice. The wine had a long finish, high tannins, M intensity and high acidity. Good quality but lacked some complexity and is definitely too young, tannins need to round and hopefully develop some tertiary notes. I wouldn’t necessarily say this has a long aging potential but 5-10 years would do a lot of good.
