Husband wanted to give this above a 90, while I tended toward 85. Well-balanced--more on the earthy side but you can still smell and taste the black fruits. The nose has a hint of tobacco and spice. Medium finish. Definitely needs at least a 2 hour decant. Not as big or complex as I generally prefer, and it's a little higher in acidity than I like. Plus I can taste a bit too much of the alcohol.

Tried one due to a long stopover in Phoenix on a hot day during shipping. Surprisingly good, wonderful nose with just a touch of funk. Still dusty due to mostly Syrah, but nice dark fruit. Maybe the heat helped.
