This is an "old" wine by Chardonnay standards but it was still a full flavored wine that held up beautifully. The wine looks blonde colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. The body is medium. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

Fascinating tasting tonight… ‘21 Staglin Estate vs ‘21 Pride Vintners Reserve Chardonnay. Both estate grown and both grown in locations where the Chardonnay grape shouldn’t perform at its best due to the climate and heat. One on the Valley floor in Rutherford and the other at the top of Spring Mtn. Long story short, the Staglin smoked the Pride. Why? The Staglin was perfectly in balance and has an elegance that could stand up against Grand Cru Burg. This will …

Leap Year Melot Night (Bobby Van's on Park, NYC) : My 4th bottle and last of this vintage. I had this with my wine group as an opening wine. We loved it. I should note, that of my 4 bottles, the previous one was probably flawed. A rich CA Chard, without a lot of new oak.

Originally coravin'd on 3/13/19. Still good life! Oakier than more recent chard's from Price

DenTinJaMa Inaugural (Chateau Lyon) : End of plateau for this bottle, but still excellent. Nice viscosity and TINY oxidation note. Peach, golden apple, lemon zest and oak. Get yourself some cheese and do it!

Slightly disappointing, as it had a bitter finish. Maybe it was slightly oxidized. I have had prior bottles of this vintage and really liked them, possibly a bad bottle.

Golden yellow color. Aromas of peach, pineapple and honey. Palate has flavors of melon, pineapple and peach. Mild acidity with a slight bitterness in the finish. Still pleasant but not getting any better.

Fat Tuesday - Single Producer Night - Pride Mountain Vineyards (Landmarc @ the Time Warner Center) : It had been about 15 months since my previous bottle of this. It was just as enjoyable as it was then. It may have matured a little in that time, but not enough to change my score.

Hearty chardonnay with tropical, oily fruit and some butterscotch notes on the finish. Smooths out as it gets some air and warms to around 60 deg.

This has evolved nicely. Big rich Chardonnay with flavors of apples, pears, and a hint of honey.

Corked! I was looking forward to this but unfortunately it was not to be. First wax seal Pride, resulting in second corked Pride (out of many many bottles). Bummer...

Decent chard but getting towards end of drinking window. Smooth silky profile but fruit is fading. Drink soon.

Really enjoyed this. The oak is really subtle. A nice balance of minerals and tropical fruits.

Crisp chardonnay with flavors of apple and pear with some oak. I expected a little more from this wine but it still very good.

Interesting, with surprisingly lots of citrus notes. I liked its difference, but not a great CA Chard. Drink this summer.

Really nice wine! Could use 6 months or a year to really round out the finish. This is more structured and more balanced than wines from a few years ago. Still it's a big wine (no one will think it's Chablis), but a classic California Chardonnay

Excellent Chardonnay. Beautiful sparkling light gold in color on the nose peaches and honey with a thick buttery mouth feel. On the palate peaches, citrus, honey, minerals, and a finish as the wine sits gets sweeter and longer. Great wine this maybe my favorite Pride Chardonnay.

Thick and viscous, a little strange. Ripe and borderline sweet white peach fruit. Could mistake for a rhone blend or Viognier. Good enough but lacking varietal integrity.

($24) September 1999 Wine Country: Smoky, mineral petrol like character with loads of sweet pear fruit. The fruit almost reminded me of a red wine?
