Super smooth and savory, with layers of blackberry and black pepper, and a nice nose. It’s got just the right kick of acidity and grip to keep things lively—classic Northern Rhône Syrah.

Beautifully round, herbed fruit--lots of dark berry (marion- & boysen-) and olive tapenade. Quite silky for No. Rhone, possibly due to its youth. Hints of cacao on the finish. Rather reserved for Saint Joe; I'd be curious to revisit in 5-10 years.

A monster tasting at Laszlo's : Blind. Pepper and graphite, feels lively and bright. Palate is classic Syrah style with that pepper and black fruit profile. The spice and ripeness mesh well together and this is already drinking well.

Wow, this has really come together since my last review. Now it is a smooth, integrated and soft offering, with a little fruit and spice. Very drinkable.

Very drinkable, easy going with plenty of joyful, young syrah-fruit. It's certainly a bistro-style wine, eminently quaffable; wine me up, please. Speaks of the easy drinking vintage, it's unassuming, ready to go. #Kandestederne

I think JDCarucci nailed the review - getting there, and it calmed down on day 2 after Vacuvin, which leads me to think this will continue to improve over the next 12-24 months. Quite savory now with a few rough edges, but if you like old world, this is your speed!

This is finally starting to come around, and is hitting the savory notes. Black pepper, pastrami and cured olive. Brambly fruit as well. It still hasn't fully blossomed, however. It's not as expressive yet as I feel it's going to be. I have two bottles left. Will reassess in 18 months or so.

Very very young, crisp red berries and a few spices. Not so powerful on the palata though. Simple and straightforward.

A very pleasant smokiness - salami and cheese on the nose. Lovely mouthfeel.

Barely translucent deep red with pink reflections. Black raspberry, blackberry and plum on the nose. Evolves to blueberry with exposure to oxygen. Secondary aromas of fresh woody herb and spice. Sharp pepper, hints of red fruit and meat fat undertones. Present but not overwhelming tannins. Love it.

The wine is typical for the region: it is medium/full-bodied, with stylish aromas and flavors of charcoal, smoke, black pepper and very dark berries. This is not a prominently fruity wine, but the taste is intensive and long and has a good cut.

Cor robi profunda cintilante, quase negra.

Not really open nose with oak and black currant licor. On palate same profile, way more elegant and pleasurable, with a good twist of dark chocolate and spices, delivering good persistence. Solid backbone, round wine, but not really inspiring. 90

Sophisticated and complex, but still powerfull Syrah. Develops its full fragrances (ripe gooseberry and tobacco) after about 30 minutes in a decante. Taste is somewhat behind the nose.

A disappointing experience with this wine. Served two bottles over a casual dinner. While others had a more positive opinion, I did not enjoy this wine at all. Almost a Gjetost overtone to the nose.

This needs more time. Plum, blackberry, warm rocks on the nose. Dark fruits, dark soil, light licorice. Oak is there as well but subtle. Tight tannins. Likely good with Sunday night Indian food, and could probably leave open all night and return to it the following day. Should soften with time but not a blockbuster.

Burnt nose, intense vanilla, actually so much of it. Young and sweet but with potential.
