Vignai da Duline Friuli Colli Orientali Schioppettino

This is in a really good spot right now.

Hot _damn_ this was good. Peppery, with gorgeous fruits, and a refreshing bit of acidity. Everything came together beautifully in this bottle. Someone told me once that schioppettino wine tastes as if someone made Beaujolais in Italy; after this bottle, I wholeheartedly agree.

Pop-and-pour, consumed over three days. Just got better and better! Like a great Beaujolais, with a nice white-pepper note on the palate. This is probably too young, but still very enjoyable! I'll revisit these in another three years or so.
