RiverAerie Sangiovese

Nice accompaniment to a home made Italian dish with sun dried tomatoes, Italian sausage, black olives and olive oil over pasta. Would buy again.

Nose had a really nice strawberry/raspberry element tonight, lighter than I recall from previous bottles. On the pallet this is very fruit forward with a lighter, more acidic attack than I recall, all in a good way and very much complementary to the Mediterranean chicken dish we had tonight. Would buy again.

I had no expectations for this wine. I knew Bunnell wines were good but I didn't know how his second label would do. Wow, this was a pleasant surprise. In the glass this wine is dark and inky, the nose is dark and spicy with only a hint of strawberry. The pallet packs some power and a little bit of weight. Nice spicy finish that lingers nicely. Excellent effort. I'll buy more.
