6 years on from Bonjovibon's comments he/she was right. This wine can stand up with most premier cru and even grand cru Burgundy. The color was dark red to a rust colored rim. Nose of smoke, blood, cherries. Incredibly beautiful supple legs. Palate was pure Burgundian, elegant soft tannins, with ample acidity, velvety mouth feel, fruit still in place and very well balanced. Different profile than Douro wines. First of all the graduation, you will thank its 13º. Sweet tannins, still hard and with really good acidity. I would have liked to see it in a few years. Earthy and black fruit nose. Really good. Wonderful surprise. 91+.
