Mid to deep yellow. Nose announces fig and grapefruit with lemon. Tasting more mature now, with fruit intensity dipping a bit and grapefruit the predominant character on the palate. Really is a food wine, just too unforgiving by itself as it is in chablis style of cool climate Chardy. Shortish finish. Drink up. My last bottle. Prefer full octane to this reserved style.

Light to Medium yellow. Screwcap. Fig and grapefruit is an apt description. With some char oak on the nose still. Smooth, good core of acid with lemon spine then that fig and grapefruit duo tag team again. good textural weight, very clean finish with zippy acidity to close. Very modern cool climate expression of chardonnay but not without fruit presence which is the key. Drinkable.

First sip announces its class. All-round fineness: flavour, acid, fruit.

Canberra - Clonakilla & Lerida; 10/3/2015-10/5/2015 (Canberra) : {screwcap, $36} lovely fig and grapefruit aromas, cool in character. Beautifully fine-grained sandalwood/cedar oak (11 months in barrel) supported by zippy acid. Even, long and finely balanced with a lovely chalky textural quality to it; classy Chardonnay fruit in a medium-bodied guise with a medium finish. Lovely in the short term.

Crisp, lemony cool climate chardonnay, with freshness. Just needs a little time to settle down.
