My current go-to pizza wine: very mediocre on its own but drinks like a $40 dollar bottle when it is accompanied by pizza.

This was just okay, nothing outstanding. My first time trying Barbera and I guess I expected to be more wowed. Ordinary Italian wine with emphasis on red fruit and some savory herbs, not much spice. It's grippy and does have some character, however.

Entirely enjoyed. Paired with a slow-cooked pork roast and roasted veg. Bright strawberries and other red fruit. Barbera is hard to find in my neck of the woods, but I think this may become a regular at my house.

PnD let air 30 mins. Plum raspberry touch of earth and herbs in the nose. Refreshing with a good amount of grip for Barbera with flavours of plum sour cherry mineral black tea and thyme. Medium finish with sour cherry and black tea notes. Drink now and over the next three years. Real and good value.
