Tangerine combines with nearly oxidized stone fruit flavors in this fully mature and probably should be drunk white, unless you’re an orange wine fan (I’m not). Drink soon.

It was fine, pear and maybe some oak in the nose. Not particularly fleshy, I got white peach, lemon peel and maybe molasses (without the sweetness) in the finish. Again, fine but just that.

As others have pointed out, this is the real thing…pours a medium gold color into the chilling decanter, indicating it’s seen oak either during fermentation or aging, or both. Enticing nose: exotic spices, fresh white flowers, and vanilla extract; followed by an interesting flavor profile of ripe red apple, juicy yellow peach, crunchy green pear, and spicy oak, all underscored with white chalky minerals. After a few days, the white peach and floral dominated and were joined by some oak and vanilla notes. There is a good backbone of …

Christmas Eve Paella tasting... this stole the show over the Rioja/Tempranillo flight and the Champagne. Everything you like about a classy Chardonnay only less boring and more utility at the dinner table. John Gilman isn't crazy, wish I had bought more of this but haven't had much success with white Riojas in the past. 92-94 drink or hold for the short to medium term.

Well integrated blend, with Viura in the lead. It was rich, but the chardonnay and 3rd grape were lighter and balanced it out. Nice wine.
