Consumed over two days. Day one offered finesse, where as day two offered a little more muscle. My first and only Wayfarer in the cellar. Random Total Wine pick up years ago. I need to pickup more of these wines. 95+

Big style Pinot Noir. Fort Ross. Tame on the finish, but nice complexity in the mouth. Integrated tannin, but too much oak. Spices. Beautiful acidity. Nose: 8/10. A bit strong on the oak and a bit hot, but dissipates a bit with airing. Palate: 8/10. Full body. Finish: 8/10. Price: 8/10 ($75 2025). Enjoyment: 8/10. Would buy again: no.

I like a bolder, full-bodied Pinot Noir, and this delivers. Medium purple with ripe cherry, hibiscus, allspice, and a mossy undertone on the nose, with some added pepper on the palette, punched up with medium-high alcohol, medium light tannins, and medium acidity that lingered, but with a fairly short finish, otherwise.

this wine got a lot of good reviews; JD top 100 98 points, VM 97, WA 95. I thought this lived up to the hype. Worthy of a top 100 list. wonderful ripe strawberry and cherry with beautiful nose, great wine

At a Wayfarer tasting with Cleo Pahlmeyer. A difficult early start to 2017 with record early rain, but Wayfarer have done a good job here. The free-run wine was transferred to 58% new French oak from cooperages including François Frères, Rousseau, and Remond for 15 months. 14.5% alcohol. 1500 cases. Gorgeous Pinot nose, probably the most expressive of the tasting. This is just beginning to drink well and is already very attractive. 10 years plus.

Special wine coming into a great drinking window. Had side by side with the 2019 Aubert UV which was classy as well.

PnP. Relatively deep ruby color. On the nose: Cherry, a bit of barnyard funk and some vanilla. On the palate: Cherry liquor, bit of orange zest spiciness, hint of vanilla and some rose. Good balance and length. Flavors round and smooth. Really tasty and elegant. A lot of pleasure in this bottle.

Soft, translucent cherry red. Aromas of spice and strawberry, subtle and pretty. Soft and precise on the palate, strawberry, cherries, hint of raspberry. Exquisite. Fines tannins, subtle acidity, great balance. Finishes long and gentle with strawberry notes. 14.5% ABV but not a hint of heat. Exquisite and elegant. Great wine. Drink next 8 to 9 years.

11-27-2022: (Aerated with Vinturi) Cami says…. On the nose, a reliable Pinot Noir. Full juicy red fruit with bits of wet concrete and a hint of expensive rawhide ( like walking into a high end leather-goods store) Now to the taste…. At first sip, tangy sweet tarts, developing into a ripened fruit finish and lovely tannins linger.

2018: Decanted a few hours earlier. Dark red. Exotic spice, oak, cream, smoke, raspberry and raspberry candy. On the palate this has a little more weight and structure than the 2017. On the palate there is pure red and dark red fruit and salinity on the finish. The tannin has a cranberry character to it. Very special. 2017: Decanted a few hours earlier. Dark red. Pretty med red to dark red, perfumed, creamy, floral. Same flavours in the mouth, spicy …

There is a lot of hype over this wine. Medium red and good acidity . Give this about an hour after opening and you will get a beautiful nose of violets, raisins and raspberry . There is an initial smokiness that dissipates into beautiful red fruit flavours with good length . This has a viscosity and depth to the red fruit flavours that attract your attention from the first sip of this wine. Excellent Pinot ! Lingers on the palate …

Medium-deep ruby red in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, strawberries & plums with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes, spices, minerals & a slight touch of oak/vanilla in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors cherries, strawberries & plums with spices, earthiness, minerals & a touch of oak/vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present although it should continue developing further with …

This was disappointing given the price point and professional reviews. It’s a big, rich, ripe California Pinot without much complexity. Another reviewer compared it to Meiomi and he was spot on. Drank over two days hoping for improvement on day two but no change appreciated.

This is a somewhat blocky wine on opening. Lots of power and punch but little in way of secondary aromas or flavors. Undeniably a CA pinot but without any real subtlety. I wanted to see if this would evolve over time and by day 3 it actually started to reveal some more interest with a stony/gravelly-like reduction coming to the fore. Much more pleasant and interesting to drink on day 3. Of note - I served this at cellar temp; …

PnP. Color is deep ruby. On the nose: Bright Cherry, raspberries, barnyard funk and some spice. On the palate: Cherry, red berries, Dr. Pepper and baking spices. Sensuous mouthfeel. This is world class Pinot Noir.

Medium to full body. Over the top richness and sweet fruits. 14.5pct abv. Not appealing but drinkable. One dimensional fruity sweetness. Reminds me of a thinner style of Meomi from days of old. Probably a crowd pleaser at a party but won’t be buying more!

Pinot Noir From Around the World (Knightsbridge - Northbrook IL) : Tasting, brief note. Plenty of red and black cherry come across as very rich, yet also well balanced. Somewhat simple, but good.

earthy, mineral. Burgundian pinot noir. I think could use a bit more time for complexity but a very nice pinot noir. NOT fruit forward, cherry bomb, etc,

This is a tough one. It’s really difficult to read this wine fairly when you’re looking at the price you paid versus what it delivers. For full disclosure I am a huge red burgundy fan.I believe that when you pick the right producer and vintage you can have a village wine that will knock your socks off. There is no doubt that this wine is extremely high-quality and is extremely refining and delicious. This is deathly trending towards the new world style with ripe …

Lovely fruity pinot more floral and approachable at this young age. Pleasant to drink, slightly high acid and little muted given it's youth understandable. Very good and drinkable young.
