Nose: cherry liqueur, with some acrid acids floating in a ring around that. Palate: sour red veering into purple fruit, dancing and gripping on the tongue. Maybe a faint licorice and possibly some mushroom. I love this wine so much I want to be as severe and judgemental as possible. This bottle is very easy to like as it hits your mouth, but then maybe clips short on the finish. Just so interesting. I enjoy it with light snacks but …

A wine to be served with food. Clear with strong tannins.

Nose: powerful and sensual baking spices with red and purple fruit. It's somewhat silly but yes I may confuse this with a Cote de Nuits. Palate: mineral, chalky, sappy full spectrum fruit that is both rich and sour in equal amounts, with a slightly mocha finish. It's the best Sicilian red I have tried. I'm not claiming to be an expert or having tried a ton, but it will now be the benchmark I measure from.

Very good wine from a high quality region and varietal. On the lighter and brighter side of the red wine spectrum (more similar to pinot than cabernet).
