Those aglianicos are tough nuts to crack for me. Still pretty tight after 4 hours. Is seems there's something lurking beneath, maybe more age and longer decant next time

Finished the last bottle of this last night with eggplant/pasta/fresh red sauce. The tannins have mellowed, almost too much. The blackberry is still there. It was good, very good, but not sad that it's finished, since it doesn't seem like it will improve much.

At a very reasonable price of $17 with tax, count me a fan. This will be a regular beverage with red-sauced foods and hearty dishes for the next year or so, longer if I can keep my hands off it …

A nice wine. We pnp'd at lunch. Dark fruit on the nose. It opened quickly to dark fruit, olive and a hint of spice on the palate. Finish of moderate length. Good QPR
