from a purchased sample Nose: Light varnish and a little sweet leather. Develops on dates, prunes, golden raisins, and cinnamon. The varnish is a little bitter-sweet orange zest. Chocolate, caramel, and marzipan come out as this gets some air. Eventually the sherry clarifies and offers up a few sweet cherries. It's high on marmalade and jams. A few coffee and tobacco notes at the end. Gorgeous stuff. Palate: Light and absolutely silky on entry. Nearly too drinkable. Honey, burnt orange. …
