Not blind. Dry finish as expected from a sa cab. Bark and tobacco on the nose. This has softened and improved with the additional years in the cellar. Finish is lengthy. With acidity in the finish. Hl 4. Fd 3.

Dark garnet red with a hint of ruby. Dark berries on the nose with baking spices, leather and earthiness. Heavy tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Well rounded palate with red berries, dried herbs, and a bit earthy. Long finish. Drink from 2019 till 2029.

Seventh red wine tasted at Haskell Vineyards and their flagship wine. This bottling is made up of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Aged for 14 months in 5% new French oak. Just released yesterday. Deep ruby red with a layered nose, coated in blackberries, spices, plums, toasted cherries and a little floral.
