Cantine Storiche di Marzo Greco di Tufo Franciscus

The wine is a white wine from Campania from Greco di tufo grape. The producer is the iconic di MARZO, that are the original producers of Greco di Tufo wines since 1647. We visited this winery in September 2016. The wine has aged perfectly and has reached his peak in 2020 when we have tasted it. The color is dark yellow straw almost gold. A little sulphur on the nose at first. Citrus fruit, herbs with good acidity. Rich palate as it warmed but would be best with food. It has the grip and acidity to cut through fatty foods. Later, a little baked apple emerged. Tasted at Grand Union Wine Society with Ben Robson of 'Bat and Bottle'.
