Drunk with steak and ale pie and potato puree. Mid garnet with slight browning at the rim. Stewed black fruits - plums and blackberries, with some earthiness underlying it. Firm, smooth tannin elements. Very good balance and length. This is the best bottle of this wine I have had so far, so I think the extra cellar time has paid off and that it should keep going for some time yet.

Needed time to open up. Very concentrated black cherry. Long, long finish. Coating mouth feel. Acid is medium and tannins were fine.

The cork had deteriorated, crumbling against the screw, and my heart fell. But it turned out to be no bad omen. Right out of the bottle, after the cork was drawn, it was lip-puckering dry and flat. (No surprise there.) Only 15 minutes later and the tannins, while still present, became very soft. There was a strawberry-like flavor that caressed the pallet: if that sounds overly romantic, think somewhat glycerine (like you might find in an Argentine Cabernet, but not …

My note from 2013 is still pretty accurate, but I am not sure if it is quite as good as I remember, so I dropped it a point.

Concentrated structure, but lacking some of the nuances I was looking for. A solid wine, but nothing overly noteworthy.

Enjoyed during a dinner party so no formal notes. I'm not going to score this wine because it didn't pair very well with our meal (Mahi Mahi with citrus salsa and coconut rice). Had we had this with a porcini mushroom pasta or risotto, it might have been a completely different experience.

Burgundian elegance with Oregonian muscle. On the nose some strawberry jam with some aromatic spices, on the palate the body was medium, the tannins were soft, notes of strawberry and red onion jam, good pairing to the thanksgiving meal.

Decent Pinot...light color and the nose isn't dominant....some earthy stuff with strawberries...medium body and finish... this is more of a light fare Pinot...but that said..I like it

PnVnD. Very light clear crimson. Restrained nose of mushrooms, earth, and sweet strawberries. Light and elegant on the palate as well, with subtle flavors of strawberries and vanilla. Good acidity with a medium finish. This is way on the elegant side of the Pinot spectrum. If you're looking for uber-rich, dark Pinot, this is not for you. This would go great with a nice white fish or braised salmon. Heavily seasoned grilled salmon seems like it would be too much …

PnP. Clear, deeper red/purple color than typical OR Pinot. Decent/proper nose, med body/weight overall but big for a NW wine. Nice/proper flavor profile. Good balance, more extracted than usual young fruit flavor. Drinking well now. Nothing off, $37

Popped and poured. Puts on weight over the course of four hours. Cherry liqueur is primary. I liked the 2008 WVV entry level Pinot, thought it represented good value. There is more oomph to the Estate bottling, but I enjoyed the non-Estate more for what it was, and maybe even more in an absolute sense.

Pretty red cherry aroma with a slight vanilla tinge. Nice. Light entry of sweet red cherry with a tart, sour cherry edge & some wood smoke. Finishes tart & mouthwatering. Very nice for the table.

Aromas of dark cherry and light oak. Initial burst of acidity on the tongue, like that of cherry coke, then come intense dark cherry flavors mixed in with a little pepper and earth. Flavors continue all the through the finish. ($23)

Pinot Noir at Just Grapes - Three Winemakers; 11/11/2010-11/12/2010 (Just Grapes) : Nose: luxurious violet, refined soft cherry fruit and plenty of light baking spices, like cinnamon, nutmeg and others. Wonderful winter spice quality. Palate: velvet texture, light vanilla on the finish. Winter spices carry through. Lengthy finish. Excellent autumn/Thanksgiving pinot. Wonderful.

Really enjoyed this one. Elegant and firm with great balance of medium dark red fruits and spice and underbrush. My kind of PN. Drinking well, but better with some air rounds it out. A pleasant surprise. Much better than the 04 from what I recall. Drink with decant or hold for several years.

Nice light cherry fruit that is opening up well, it complimented my pasta and chicken dish ... it's a nice wine that is served very well with food. It would be a bit too thin just to drink .. it needs to use this buoyant minerality to lift up a good chicken or pasta dish. I could also see it doing well with smoked salmon.

Decanted for about a half hour and had a glass. It didnt really show that well. After about two more hours in the decanter, this wine actually really started to show. Really bright fruit after the bottle opened up a little bit.
