Russian Hill Estate Winery Pinot Noir

Lovely pinot, with a aromas of black fruit and a hint of barnyard, red and black fruit and stewed fruit flavors, with some pepper. Medium bodied, very delicious. Paired with grill salmon.

very dark and concentrated still hot with alcohol yet very beautiful velvety extracted complex. a little sweet and overdone.

Medium bodied, with bright color and bright red cherry flavors, very fruit and just a bit hot on the aftertaste. Will decant and check later.

Explosive, mouthwatering, fruity, slightly jammy (sugary) but delicate at the same time. Quite possibly too young; we had the '02 and it was more complex and interesting maybe because of the extra year. Exclusive stuff to be savoured...

Tanzer says something (of the '94 Dominus) like [flavors] "too big for a human mouth." I remember the quotation, but the law is The Law. This wine is the Burgundian equivalent. A throatcap of rich black fruit and berrries. Much GRAPE. Almost to match the Sineans of Oregon. If the textured tannins here can keep up with the jam, look out. Russian Hill is a Comer in the RRV.

Heritage: Very aromatic with cola, sweet spice; full swt-ish mth, cola and frt. Good, but very cal.
