Medium ruby in glass with medium plus intensity on the nose. Black cherry, spice, cola and flowers. Medium acidity and tannins. Good grip. Still tight and would benefit from another few years in bottle.

American wines at Park90 : I am not the biggest fan of the sweet cherry and strawberry fruit profile that new-world Pinots tend to have and although this wasn’t the worst offender, it was still sufficiently distracting and the wine felt a little artificially smoothened out.

This was Thanksgiving meal wine. With quite the pedigree, I had really high expectations. This wine didn't disappoint. While not as good (ie complex) as some pinots in the 80.00 - 90.00 range, I was happy with this wine. Beautiful garnet color with a clarity and preciseness that spoke to the care in making this pinot.
