Think this was probably better when it was younger. It seems to be past due or on its way out. Drink now, not any time later. It was not as good the second night, which is a giveaway. That said, it has some of the "Lodi" style, which is typically beyond fruit forward, intense. Not everybody's style, but it does not make it a "bad" wine deserving some of the ratings I have seen. Spicy, perfumed nose, dark garnet. Dark fruits, a hint of charred oak sherry barrel, vanilla. Not a heavyweight. Very quaffable, but can't think of what food it accompanies. Thai? Excellent QPR.

Decanted for 4 hrs...well worth the time. Red fruit immediately followed by pepper flavor. Hint of lavender in mid-palate, oak on the finish. Very smooth drinking wine. Well worth the price.
