PnP. Peach and apricot on the nose. Palate is very sharp on initial attach. Apricot on the palate up front, medium midpalate weight, clean finish with a solid white peach note. After 30 minutes the nose is less intense and the palate is now showing some lemon oil with far less acid than the PnP. Some minerality present on the finish. Didn't enjoy this as much as I did in the tasting room when purchased. Still ok, just a little …

Summer starts early in Palm Springs and we enjoyed this well crafted wine with hors d'oeuvres- " wild mushroom ravioli and duck confit tacos. Received compliments from our guests. Drank well alone and with the food.

Once again, this was restrained and mediocre when pulled right out of the fridge, but was incredibly good as it warmed a bit in glass. Interesting and delicious tropical fruit aromas and flavors rule the day here.

Nice easy crisp wine on what feels like a wonderful spring afternoon (but with college basketball). Typical gewurtz floral characteristics, get some lilies maybe (the softer flowers). There's a hint of a lime after taste. Maybe just a bit of a shadow of honey (without the sweetness, but some of the flavors that surround it. And of course a touch of spice (early in the palette). It's a nice wine. Very easy to drink. Not rating so I don't overtake …

Nice easy drinking white. It's got the Gewurtztraminer florals, a touch of honeysuckle, maybe a bit of light spice (although not overly so - more lemon-limey). Pretty refreshing. Not overly complex, but can see it being an excellent summer wine and great for the price point.

The '12 Outlier by Tercero , from winemaker Larry Schaffer, is always a crowd pleaser. Fruit on the nose. Tasting some grapefruit. I have a short pour available for dinner tonight. The grape is Gewurtz. I bought 4 bottles mid-November. This was my last.

A very flavorful, interesting, well-balanced and pleasing white. Everyone seems to enjoy this whenever I pop one to share.

This bottle was slightly improved over the bottle I drank last week. I guess that extra week helped.

A hint of fruit, just enough to enjoy, without hitting you over the head. Not a sweet gwertz. It's just right! Very easy to drink and a crowd pleasure. Larry, you make me look good.

Popped and poured, a nice nose of minerals and a white fruit...maybe a pear? On the palate is a great spice and stone combination, nicely dry with pears and apples. Really easy to drink, this fits my style preferences for Güwerz.

I bought three of these, enamored by the wine when I had it for the first time over summer. Why I like this wine is that you get the spicy, stone fruit character of the gewurz with some drying and refreshing aspects that remind me of chenin, with grapefruit, peach and a little stony impression in the finish. Plus, the low alcohol of 12 and half points keeps the wine from being cloying, instead fresh and more lithe in tone. …

Enjoyed this on its own without food. Similar to my previous notes. Great wine.

Day 1 - Central Coast Tastings (Central Coast - CA) : Tasted this blind. The incredible perfume had me guessing that Larry bottled some Verdelho or Torrontes! Turns out this was Central Coast Gewurztraminer! Super rich palate of pears and apples with some peach and mango adding a bit of exoticism to it.

Yum. I love the juxtaposition of dry minerality and sweetish Gewurtz flavor with this wine. Refreshing and interesting with such a palate pleasing flavor and texture profile.

Tercero Dinner - Now we're all uncomfortable (FMIII in the OC) : I don't have much experience with Gewürztraminer but the aromatics of this wine where off the charts, stunning. Very light color, nearly clear. Great balance of pear fruit and acid. Backend has a juniper berry note, like you'd find in a good gin.

This is unique, both in the aromatics and palate. Brig was tasting with us and called the note 'junier berry' and that is a great descriptor. I also found quince, slate and a little hint of lemon rind. Taken all together, this is quite chablis-like. A leaner, refreshing style with a middle weight texture. Will order some of this.

Aroma of Gewürztraminer, but not on palate. Lemon curd and great acidity. Food wine.

This vintage of this wine seems even a little less Gewurtz-like -- quite dry and almost totally absent of sweetness, though the flavor is still identifiable as Gewurtz. I don't have much experience with this grape in general, but this wine is utterly enjoyable.
