Better than the September bottle... a full-throated CA Pinot. Lots of good things happening in Santa Lucia, and this is one of them.

This is still great! A little more on the nose. But, what a party on the palate! Red fruit is followed by deeper tones with licorice, salmiac in a very pleasant way. It has become a little more masculine, but still light on its feet. Lovely!

Medium amber red. Rose petals on the nose. Cranberry and cherry and spice in the mouth. Perfect integrated fine tannins and solid acidity. Very balanced. In a sweet spot right now.

good, full flavored Syrah. Was a little on the peppery side but lightened up with more time opened

Appearance: medium Rudy color Nose: Cranberry, cinnamon, oak, spice Palate: Red fruits, cherry, pomegranate, spice Really nice PN. Very balanced with medium+ acidity and medium body. The spice and cinnamon characteristic was very pleasing. Super high quality juice. 92 points.

A little tight and overly spicy at first but softened up with time

I got a taste of this during my birthday celebration as I opened it for my Mother-in-law and her man. I was immediately jealous that I had opted for a lineup of craft beers and lusted for a glass of this. Alas, only a taste and regrets. Lovely mouthfeel and texture. Great flavor profile. Wish I had one more!!

Nose is very nice baking chocolate, red fruits, touch floral… Massive attack for a Pinot, raspberry, spice, tannin, slightly tart red fruit Finish with some acidity to help out… Big bold Pinot that I am sure many people would adore the style… For me too big and extracted but it’s a very good glass nonetheless..

Beautiful Syrah from ROAR that offers complexity, spice and structure. Although I love their Pinots I have come to appreciate their Rhône Varietals over time. This has a great weight and lends a more serious and robust profile to enjoy on a chilly winter evening. Very smooth o the palate.

Big packed and stacked CA Pinot…. Chock full of fruit and very nice complexity… Wouldn’t say it’s syrupy or jammy but the level of extraction puts it close… For my Pinot profile, it’s a bit heavy…prefer Oregon and burgundy….

Man is this good. The nose may be a little muted, but the rest is awesome. Deep, fresh, muscular but feminine. I would love to drink this any day!

This vintage Roar 2018 Rosella’s Vineyard is amazing! Well balance with strawberry-cherry flavors. It was in oak barrels for 10 months...there is a slight oak flavor with a linger of lilac finish. Great wine!

Guess the Varietal (Grapes & Grains, Temecula, CA) : Tasted blind. Correctly identified as SLH Pinot Noir. As good as always. Needs to be tasted with Pinots. Suffered from being in a blind lineup with more full-bodied, tannic wines.

Wildcard Wines - Tiplers Blind Tasting Group (Grapes & Grains, Temecula, CA) : Tasted blind. Correctly identified as an SLH Pinot Noir. Powerful yet silky acids and tannins to go with the massive black cherry concentrate, raspberry, and spicy clove. For me, SLH has a specific prickly berry note to go with the ripe fruit. Baking spices, like cinnamon, star anise, and nutmeg, are well-integrated.

Beautiful dusty rose notes on the nose that extend to the palate. Soft and elegant red fruit, featuring cherry and strawberry notes. Just a hint of spice to add complexity. Silky on the palate. Very flavorful at a medium weight. Compelling and very enjoyable.

Quite accessible, the nose has a soft potpurri overtone, with red plum, cherry, scorched earth, and blood orange featuring underneath. Medium bodied, it's beautifully polished in the tannin department with bright, juicy acid delivering crunchy red plum, raspberry, and strawberry fruit notes that drive the flavor profile. Blood orange and baking spice feature nicely as well. This has a large amount of early appeal, and I imagine it'll evolve nicely, if subtly, over the next three to five years.

I was 1200 miles away when I realized I grabbed the '18 by mistake, when I meant to take the '16 for a taste comparison to KB's '16 Rosella's. This wine needs more time in bottle.
