WIML89+,NOWA,NOWS Tasted March 31, 2007 as part of the Wino Depot Tasting With Friends event. Opened and served immediately. Crimson color in the glass, slightly opaque looking. Nose of smoke, blueberries, saddle soap, blackberries and mocha. Flavors of blackberries and black cherries. Medium acidity, tannins and body. Dirnk over the short to medium term, perhaps 3-5 years range. Based on the local retail price of $29.97 I’d say the value here is acceptable.

Tasting of Argie wines (Brussels, Belgium) : Mora Negra is a blend of 70% Malbec and 30% Bonarda from the Tulum Valley in San Juan. It features good concentration a very refined nose of spice and ripe red and black fruits with elements of cassis and cherries as well as a hint of prunes. In the mouth it has a velvety attack, elegant and ample mid palate and a long finish on hints of "herbes de provence" and red fruit. …

Almost opaque. Very attractive bouquet, rich, vegetal and fruity. Fruity wine with softish tannins, full bodied, smooth, classy, very long.
