Christophe Vaudoisey Volnay 1er Cru Clos des Chênes

Quite tannic and maybe not the most aromatic, but can be broached with decanting

Darker end of colour spectrum for a Volnay. Dark fruited spicy nose. Oak noticeable. Deep and darker fruited on the palate too. This has plenty of substance, lovely fruit weight and drive. Very long. Oak still prominent and some slightly drying but not tough tannins on the finish. Clearly very young, but this should be excellent with time.
