Dalamara Winery Negoska

Wow! Infinitely better showing than one and a half years ago... For starters nose is absolutely clean with no reduction at all. Fruit is abundant (blackberry, blackcurrant) but there is also a savoury (cured meat) and mineral (graphite) dimension, I could also discern some floral aromas as well. Palate is medium to full with high level of tannins which are not aggressive, high cleansing acidity, very dry but with lots of ripe berry fruit, savoury flavors and long aftertaste. Similar …

Dark ruby almost opaque. Nose is initially very reductive, smell of rotten eggs but with airing it clears to reveal aromas of chocolate, damson fruit, wild berries, leather, cherry and tar. Mouth is medium to full with high level of tannins which are ferocious: they literally dry the mouth, but there is so much beautiful fruit to support them that I would very much like to see this wine in 5 and then again maybe in ten years time.
