My word. If you’re reading this, you know you’ve hit the three cherries. Jackpot! No idea who, why or what this is but, BLIMEY, it’s proper clobber. Elegant, profound, sophisticated. More Catherine Deneuve than Barbara Streisand or Windsor. If you find this in Abergavenny or Leyburn, BUY BUY BUY! Oh, fully integrated, sweet and so Brideshead.

My second, and luckily last bottle of this. Consistency is the big difference between Bordeaux and Burgundy. Pnp. Very good cork with only about a quarter stained. Looks fine in the glass too with a nice garnet color and only slight browning towards the rim. Muted nose with some earthy notes. On the palate plenty of acidity and not much else. This is not closed but simply not a good wine. The problem is, this is a Grand Cru. Glad …

PnP and drank over 2h. Perfect cork barely stained at the tip. In the glass, color is only starting to show some age with a slight bricking towards the rim. A touch of strawberry on the nose, plenty of earth, rather spicy from probably fairly heavy use of oak, rather high acidity, fine to medium tannins. Rather short finish. An ok Burgundy but this is supposed to be a Grand Cru...
