Loma Prieta Winery Merlot S&P Vineyard

I've been to the winery many times and it's a very nice venue with beautiful views. Many wines from Santa Cruz Mountains appellation, they tend to be a bit underwhelming and overpriced for what they are, but not this. The winery makes a lot of varietals and seems to have picked out Pinotage as it's premium offering, perhaps because it's a bit novel and differentiated but I've always found their merlot and petite sirah to be the standouts.
