Kado No Mise and Champagne (Kado No Mise, Mpls) : Light gold coclor. Drank a glass over an hour. Lovely spices and spice cake here, rich and deep with layers of toffee, apple tart Tatin, lemon grass, and the most subtle nod of oxidation.Really impressive. 93+(+)pts.

Greater Spotted Beaunes - Two 1999 1er Crus from each main commune in the Cotes de Beaune.. (David P's) : Don't recall having this bottling before but it was lovely. Nose has a lemon zest freshness that charms, some Jonagold apple too. Love the balance of the palate too.

92-93 Disgorged 09/2014? (Found only one wineadvocate review for it) Small cork and only a small psssht. So definitely had some cellaring time. After recently having had the Brut Selection the style is immediately recognizable and somewhat similar. A lot of vanilla apple followed by bruised apple mixed with overtones of fresh lime zest and also fresh apple. Amazing texture and freshness, it starts with a small unevenness which could be due to the vintage. But with a little bit …

Drunk for dinner with canapes. Pale gold with fine bead and gentle mousse. Nose of windfall apple which was more apple pie with cream on the palate with hints of yeast and nuts. Definite creaminess to it - quite rich, smooth and buttery. It evolved and became a little more interesting with time. It lacked acidity for my palate (interesting to compare other tasting notes below), which would have made it crisper and livelier, and it tasted slightly demi-sec as …

Châine dinner at Bindille. Bright with some nice yeast and lemon in the nose. Served with a russian caviar topped wonton with a vichyssoise shooter. A special wine. Good at least through 2026-30.

Just superb. Aromas & flavors of apple, red berry with some citrus, but little yeast for a 10 year old champagne. Amazing power and intensity for a wine with a delicate body and great finesse (how do they do that?). Young yet if you want to wait, and certainly worth the relatively modest (for a special club) tariff.

fine energetic bead but the acidity is still too aggressive - needs more time - leave

Courtesy of tlv. Notes of pear, florals and blanched almond as well as hints of red fruit. Medium bead, apple and orchard fruit flavors with a nuttiness in the finish.

Pop and pour at Anvil prior to ESO. I definitely got some nutty dough and red fruits on this. Another lovely bottle from this producer.

Liked this. 55PN / 45 Chard. Zesty, green apple, mineral and what seemed like a dried raspberry, too. Nice creamy undercurrent. Dose=6.5g, Disg=April 2015.

This was young, acidic and lacked complexity that might make me think about cellaring more bottles. This was definitively NOT good value for the price at $70+.

Initially a bit closed, it had a creamy background and a bit of rye bread. On the palate it had a pleasant citrus freshness. Very young.

Madeira and Champagne (Chicago, IL) : Disgorged April 30, 2015. This shows a lot of sappy yellow fruit, as well as a relatively ripe character. The palate is quite consistent with that, and the acidity, while high, has a roundness that balances on the palate a bit better. There's a slight touch of toastiness on the finish, and the chalky minerality comes through quite clearly here.
