Old Oregon Pinot Noir RUMBLEMATCH (Dan's house) : A nose of mushroom, wet earth and wood, cherries and creme. Age evident by the smell in the glass. The palate showed both ripe cherries and tart, sour cherries. Does not show it's age on the palate. Nice acids but no tannins to speak of. Straight forward and uncomplex, age has turned this into a very pleasant wine. This placed #6 out of 8 bottles in voting.

First off, big cheers to Witness Tree for backing up quality even on a bottle this old. You can still buy them at the winery, and I got one that was corked a while back. A good friend was visiting the area, and was able to return it for a fresh bottle. The nose on this is great carrying a lot of dark, soft fruit. Simple fruit and tannins appear on the palate but the experience is very short. A …
