Domaine du Châtellier Coteaux du Layon

What a wine for 6-7 Euros! Botrytis on the nose, it's not unlike a late harvested Tokaj. Melons, peaches, apricots, some pollen and honey, pretty aromas. It's not concentrated on the palate, which turns out to be an advantage: exceptional drinkability for a sweet wine. No oily texture here, just gentle sweetness, balanced with good acidity and pleasant bitterness. Almost refreshing. Lots of flavor, even though it's lightish. Length is good too.
