Delicious and smooth with nice mild tannins. Dark fruit with a dark chocolate tone and nice medium finish that again gives that dark fruit and chocolate

A private lunch (Restaurant Cindy's Backstreet Kitchen, St. Helena, California, USA) : Youthful appearance, well-saturated purple; glossy, velvety, spicy, wonderful stuffing of ripe black fruit, soft oak tannins, considerable weight balanced by bright acidity, rich and flavoursome, very pure, peppery lift, hint of the stalks, very good length. Excellent.

Agree with previous comments, this wine made me sad given previous outstanding efforts by CB. Weak nose, mild and thin mid-palate, then very unbalanced (oh so thin) finish.

Jammy on the first taste, clean finish, paired perfectly with turkey meatloaf and spinach. Decanting for a quick hour brightened up the undertones of blackberry and plum.

A friend brought this over for dinner. It was awful - nose and taste was smoky with a bite on the back end (this was not tainted - had just delivered through friend's wine club). At $50, it's an embarrassment that Cakebread is selling this wine at this price. POOR.
