Oak, butter, spice, peach with a lemon underpin. Similar on the palate, it's quite soft - perhaps lacking a little acidity if I was being super critical, and the malo is a little to the fore in the mouth but otherwise jolly nice.

Canberra districts whistlestop tour (Canberra Districts) : Oak, butter, spice; rich chardonnay aromas fruit has citrus backbone under peachy flesh. More of the same on the palate with sufficient acidity to drag it across the line…just.

Rich, slightly oaky, long finish. I think it's fine to drink now.

This probably needs a few more years to be at its best. Loaded with flavour though - lemon/grapefruit, butterscotch, white peach, flint on the nose, some biscuit. Medium length flavours and minerally, driving acid. Just needs time to come together a bit more.

Canberra, Beechworth & Rutherglen wine tour day one (Canberra) : Barrel Sample. Rich, vibrant, dense, lees yoghurt…slight citrus quality, very good indeed.

Canberra Cellar Door Visits 2014 : Toast, spice, flint and some leesy elements. Really nicely composed on the palate, has good length and the fruit has some depth and texture to it while still being restrained. Rather liked this.

Eden Road tasting and dinner (North Sydney Cellars) : Aromas of toast, slight butter, toasted nuts (almonds?) over smoke and very muted fruit - hints of grapefruit and peach, floral top notes. In the mouth oak water dominates grapefruit, spice, butter…mid palate grip, slight drying quality, alcohol warmth. Hmm. Bit disjointed and young but still has a long finish that carries very low intensity fruit.
