This was rich and complex. Both red and green apples, red currant and raspberry, and a creamy feel of nougat and whipped cream. I found the ending however a bit sharp, finding the acidity and breadiness a bit sharp. But - it might have been my palate being out of form because later the same weekend I was not feeling well. So no rating this time.

Nose is coconut, baked yellow apples, slight cinnamon, like fall in a glass. Palate is preserved lemons, herbs de Provence, more fresh coconut, great acidity, long finish. Good stuff.

Disgorged in November 2016. A beautiful pale copper hue. Luxurious aromas of crème de nougat, ripe yellow-apple mash, moist chalk, and more than a hint of red berries. Fully dry (3 g/l dosage) yet richly fruited, with fine caliber-mousse, complex flavours, focused acidity and sustained finish. Just fabulous, and ready to go. One of the very best pure Meuniers out there.

Der Rive Gauche ist ein reiner Pinot meunier aus dem Jahre 2013. Die Reben wurden 1969 auf einem Lehm-/Sandboden gepflanzt. Das Terroir spiegelt sich in dem volleren Körper wider. Frisch gebackenes Brot, geräucherter Schinken und im Abgang rote Früchte wie Johannis- und Erdbeeren. Ein Spaßmacher, der sowohl den Appetit anregt als auch herrlich als Essensbegleiter dienen kann. 91
