Cantina Indigeno Folk

Folk is a sour cidery glass of sunshine - wine’s shandy. It’s refreshing, something for relaxing the brain. Like most of the Indigeno wines, Folk goes just beyond my tolerance for VA. 10.5% of bright lemon, kumquat, and sweet tangerine.

High acidity, very funky nose (almost cotton candy or bananas). Strong citrus palate.

I've really enjoyed the couple bottles I've had from this producer. I guess that's why I bought a few bottles after tasting a line-up (one of which had a straight delivery of European street side summertime sewer smell - I skipped that one). This is tart (to the edge of my tart zone) and refreshing and pure, despite some rough sediment, which is fairly compact and thus easy to avoid fogging the pours. Citrus, quince, that sort of thing. Nice.
