It was a good wine, but the general flavor profile did not take me to Brunello. Solid structure and still somewhat brooding. Ripe plum and black berries along with secondary flavors.

Definite browning, granite in colour. Aromas show earth, tar, liquorice, dried berry fruits, and a heavy deep plumminess. Acids in decline but still good. Dusty, chalky and creamy mouthfeel, drying chalky tannins. Flavours follow the aromas. Longish finish. Tasty but took a full couple of hours to fully open up.

Oak is present but tasteful, dark cherry, some secondary aromas coming through; medium acidity typical brunello fine grained tannin, long concentrated cherry finish. Precise.

Long en bouche cela me rend bien heureux. Les convives se croyaient en Rhône Nord. Sorry 18/20

Decanted 2.5 hours. Perfumed with fennel and lemon rind. Super smooth and near perfect balance with fine grained seamless lingering tannin. Big sweet cherry fruit, finish. It's the elegance and class of this that gets you, Impressive.

I would say similar profile to my tasting in Jan 2014. Wine is still big, young with plenty of time left to age and improve. This is one of the bigger brunello's I have had . Enjoyable but price is still a bit steep.

Wine much improved over the last time. Gave it about an hour of air and the wine delivered a nice experience. Still not sure its worth the cost though. But it is getting better and still can improve over the next 5 years. Probably last at least another 10 years.

- Medium forming legs and aromas of smokey, black currant and black pepper. It's balanced and has flavours of smokey, black currant and black pepper with a medium/full body with a medium finish.

With slow roas prime rib No decanting Colour: Dark deep red, homogeneous, typical for variety and vintage Nose:sweet menthol, dark cherries, bit of pine needles Taste:long finish. Tannins are ever so silky. Less sweet than on the nose. Very well integrated and developed. Excellent!!

Wine was big and young. While a very good Brunello, I agree with previous poster who says the wine is no where near worth the money. It was good, but so are $40-$50 Brunello's which this seems to be on par with. Not Recommended at $80 per bottle price.

8.5/10 - Blackcurrant and blueberry dominate this delicious wine. Secondary flavours of mocha and spice complement though the chewy tannins. There was a little roughness around the mid palate (not sure if it was the tannins or the alcohol) but believe this would soften with time. As much as this wine was, I do not believe it was anywhere near worth its price. Drank at OTTO Restaurant with clients' celebratory dinner.
