Stellar QPR wine Deep ruby color. Young of course, but already showing fantastic red fruit, pomegranate, some baking spices, and earthy notes (not dried leaves or anything). On the palate it's a bit less put together than the Especial bottling but overall an extremely drinkable sipper and pairs wonderfully with food.

Somewhat tight on the nose which gives off hints of raspberry and spice, medium bodied with deep, pure black fruit in the core, dry with mouthwatering acidity, hints of herb and dried earth on the finish, should reward time in the cellar

The natural cork comes out in perfect condition. Closed on nose, not giving much – some vegetal notes like green peppercorns, suggesting whole bunches, and a bit leather. It’s full-bodied but restrained, there is a sense of concentration here, yet it’s unimpressive, remote, lacks fruit and intensity. It’s only about structure ATM, not really enjoyable. bright dark ruby and medium body. reticent nose that eventually yields bright cherry and raspberry laced with herbs, pepper, and cedar sawdust. similarly reticent in mouth, it took quite a bit to open beyond bright juiciness and grippy tannins. as it did, layers of red fruit appeared and mingled with herbal and leather accents, and the tannins took on a pronounced spicy bend. a subtle and agreeable sweet note forms in the back end. very good length. this one needs …

Trinity Wine Fair : Purity of fruit, elegant, juicy notes, red fruit, slight milky, spicy. Palate showing fruit core, nice tannins, juicy, med body, brett (iodine) but working for it rather against it, red fruit, a bit dry and short finish

Okhuysen-Proeven tussen de Stellingen: Some cherries, starting elegant and smooth and becoming more vigorous with quite severe tannins in the firm aftertaste; give this wine more bottle-age.
