Domaine Hoppenot Beaujolais Blanc

Interesting nose, flora, waxy, quince, straw. Palate is Chenin-like, herbal, waxy, high tone citrus, light spice, high acid. Fun and good food wine. Sees partial malo, stainless aging.

It might be low expectations, it might be boredom with generic Chardonnays, or it might be that this wine really is that good. Honestly, this was a huge surprise.
