Maison Leroy Santenay

Darkly colored for its age; spicy rich older fruit; a bit solemn and concentrated nose and palate; rich, ripe old fruit; mid-palate is less generous and a tad tart; sweetens out on the finish but doesn't achieve the balance I was hoping for. Still excellent but outshone by a few other bottles this night.
