Clay Shannon Pinot Noir Long Valley Ranch

Pleasantly surprised with this Cali pinot. Nicely fruit forward without being overly ripe or sweet. Maybe missing some acidity, but medium tannins help with balance. You'll get a nose full of wild blueberries upon first pour! Later on it takes on a baked blueberry and vanilla essence. Palate is blueberry pie, crust and all, truffle and a touch of violet. This bottle fills out and softens as the evening goes on - it doesn't need it. Drink now.
